Dear Families,

Our Field Trip Day turned out just perfectly! The children had a great time learning about chicks, pigs, and sheep.  Ohhhh! let's not forget about the worms!  We learned about compost and how important this process is.  Some children milked the cow (Mimi) others feed the sheep and chickens.

After learning about many farm animals, we worked in the garden and planted some seeds.  I enjoyed watching the children’s facial expressions as they tasted a few things from the vegetable garden.  The children patiently waited their turn and also helped each other.

I must share with all of you that during this field trip we had several complements from other adults about how well the children behaved. The younger children for sure set a great example!  We also had a very nice picnic lunch and afterwards played a couple of games.

The interesting part is that right after the morning children departure, the afternoon children eagerly started their work. Then some of them became a bit emotional, rested and couple of them fell asleep!

It is great to see how comfortable they feel with each other and the adults. They can express how they feel and it is perfectly okay.  We just guide them accordingly without interfering to much, or imposing our own ways.
